Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving, friends! Hopefully your day was filled with mashed potatoes and pie and friends and family.

Last week when we went to the pediatrician, she gave us the green light to feed Little Bear anything and everything. And, as it turns out, she will eat anything and everything so Thanksgiving was wonderfully delicious!

We have about 1 million reasons to be thankful this year. Tiny doesn't have to spend this holiday season in a cast to keep her hip in place. Even after changes at Husband's job, he still has a place to go that will give him money. I get to stay at home and watch this little girl grow and change and learn. In a perfect world, we would all live each day with thanks and gratitude but that doesn't happen. Life gets in the way. Kids act ridiculous, laundry piles up, you try a meal off Pinterest but it doesn't turn out anything like the picture. Life is full of weirdness and craziness and the tiny gifts of awesomeness get overlooked. We all do it. That's why Thanksgiving is so great. I can't stuff a years worth of thankfulness into one day but it sure is nice to have a day that reminds me to be thankful.

Pumpkin Patch Adventure

We took our first trip to the pumpkin patch and it was a-maize-ing!

Was that joke too corny? I know...I'm hilarious.

The pumpkin patch was full of some great new adventures. We went through a corn maze and pretended we were Harry Potter trying to win the Wizard Cup. Fortunately we had our corn stalk wands with us. We never leave home without them.

Lily rode on a carousel. She insisted on riding sidesaddle...like a lady.

We hung out with some barnyard animals and we got to see some bees making honey.

And the pumpkin donuts with glaze were fantastic!! We are definitely doing this again next year...especially the part with the pumpkin donuts.

#babyinapumpkin

You know those parents who make their kids do weird stuff just so they can take a cute picture?

Nailed it!

But judging from that face, I think there might be some payback coming.

Halloween

I've never really been a big fan of Halloween. Sure...I buy a couple bags of candy and eat them on the couch while the neighborhood is swarming with tiny fairies and adorable ninjas and just about every superhero ever. But that's about as festive as I get. Well, until now.

When you have a cute kid (which I obviously do), it seems cruel not to share all the costumed cuteness with the rest of the world. So, world, you are welcome.

Instead of putting our kid in a pumpkin, we turned our kid into a pumpkin. Just kidding...we put her in a pumpkin too and IT WAS AWESOME!!

Also, Lily loves Star Wars and she is totally pumped about the new one coming out in a couple weeks. I know...what a nerd. But she makes a pretty cute Baby Yoda. After this year, I'm super excited about trick or treating next year. Actually, let's be honest, I'm excited about eating all her candy.

If You Give The Moose A Muffin....

...He's going to take the crown.

That's right, guys! The Royals are World Series champs!! It has been 30 years since they held that title and all of Kansas City is celebrating! Literally. If you aren't wearing a Royals shirt today, well, you just lost all your friends. And the coffee business is booming thanks to all the extra innings.

Last night when they won, Husband told me I should go wake up Lily Girl. I didn't. So let's just hope this happens again before 2045.
