Fun on the Farm

*Sorry guys.  It's been like a million years since I've posted.  The blogger app has been being a jerk and deleting everything.*

We finally had a sunny day at the farm!!  It seems like every time we go, the rain ruins our fun...but not anymore!!  And we enjoyed every minute!!

Lily climbed up and then down and then up and then down and then up and down again.  She tried out every lawn mower and car she could find.

Grandma and Grandpa burned lots of calories pushing and pulling her around all afternoon.

We picked up some apples too.

Lily made some new dog friends.  They were a lot bigger than Jake but they were very friendly.

We had such a great day at the farm!!  And we can't wait to go back!!

New Things

We have some new things happening!!!

1) We said sayonara to the soothie...Lily's pacifier. She's old enough to sooth herself and I don't really like walking around with a string hanging out of my back pocket (because it looks like I have a tail). She has actually done really well. There has been some crying and some extra snuggle time but it hasn't been anything like the nightmarish situations I've read about on the Internet. Dear Jesus, thank you, Amen.

2) We had our 18 month pediatrician visit. I know, it's a month late...but our pediatrician is super popular because she's totally awesome. In the last 6 months, Tiny has grown 4 inches and her weight has jumped from the 7th percentile to the 81st percentile. Yeah. Not a typo. That's a 74 point jump. I think maybe Tiny might not be an appropriate nickname anymore.

(Last week...)

3) Also, we finally finished painting the kitchen and the hallway. Why did it take so long? Well, Lily likes to "help" and by "help" I mean get into everything so the painting process was long and spanned many moons. Many many moons. But it's done now and it looks great.

4) And we planted some trees!! Yay!! Our yard is majorly missing some shade so we got a good deal on some beauties called October Glories. I have high hopes for some amazing foliage in the years to come. And if not beautiful foliage, hopefully it will at least obstruct our view into the neighbors kitchen. Lily, once again, was helpful. On the list of things I never thought I'd say, "No, you cannot go night night in the dirt hole. And please stop kissing the dirt. It's weird."

Who Wore It Better?

Let's play a game. It's called Who Wore It Better.

Contestant 1

Contestant 2

Contestant 3

I know...it's an impossible question. But how cute it is that this dress has been worn by 2 generations (and a third little cutie face who shall remain nameless).

Maybe you need more pictures of the cuteness.

People say they can see a resemblance. Is it in the chubby cheeks or the goofy face? I guess being adorable is genetic.
