Layla Grace Turns 3

She’s spunky. She’s sassy. She’s full of opinions. 

LG requested a robot cake. Why? I don’t know. Because she’s one of a kind.

Quarantine Life

I haven’t posted for a minute. But, to be fair, we haven’t done much. I mean, that’s the whole purpose of quarantine/social isolation right?

We’ve made the best of it though. 

We got a super cool new swing. 

We made magic wands. 

Lily made a new friend. She’s not great at social isolation. 

We’ve had TONS of fashion shows. 

We visited the lake. 

It was cold but these chicas didn’t care!!! 

Lake life is exhausting. 

It’s been a LONG couple months with no adventures, no library and no visits to the park. And we’re ready for some normalcy to return. But, you know, it hasn’t been so bad. 

Lily Turns 5

We FINALLY got to celebrate Lily’s birthday! On her actual birthday last week the flu was making its rounds at our house so her day of fun, super cool cousin sleepover and her birthday party were all moved. She handled it like a champ. And even without the party she somehow turned 5. 

5! 5? 5. Wow. Has it really already been 5 years? She’s grown and changed and become even more awesome than I ever could have imagined. She’s spunky, full of life, always ready for an adventure and great at making friends. There’s no one like Lily Girl. 

Roommates!!

The chicas are officially roommates!!! If you’re wondering how it’s going...well, pretty much as expected. We’ve worked out a couple strategies that help with bedtime but mostly we’ve just become accustomed to a certain amount of shenanigans. 

And shenanigans are okay. After all, most great memories involve some amount of silliness. As long as that silliness doesn’t affect MY sleep, it’s all good. 

Snow Day!!!

Lily has her first ever SNOW DAY!!!

Layla actually had fun in the snow!! She’s normally not a fan of being cold, or falling and not being able to get up, or having stuff thrown at her. But today she didn’t mind and it was SUPER fun!!!

All the Christmas Things

We’ve been doing all the Christmas things!!

We saw Christmas in the sky. Fireworks are cool any time of the year!! Pictures don’t even come close to showing how cool it is though so you just have to imagine it. 

Also we decorate our house. BJ did a great job! And we thought it was the coolest ever u til we saw the coolest ever light show on someone’s house. 

30 minutes later and we still hadn’t seen the whole set! They had some classics but they also had the lights set to the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Lily said she liked the rock ones best. 

Also we saw Santa. I thought Layla hated it but she carries the picture around with her all day. 


Every year, Christmas gets more and more fun with these chicas.
