#blessed

I think holidays encourage thankful reflection and, for me, Memorial Day is no different. Our little family has so much to be thankful for!!

As much as I joke about almost having Layla in the hospital parking lot, I fully realize that almost happened...and it wouldn't have been so funny. I'm so thankful we made it on time! And to have a completely happy and healthy baby born a couple weeks early? That's not lucky...that's #blessed. 

We went to the doc for her first check up and although Layla still has a little jaundice, it's not enough to require any treatment which means no additional hospital time!! Yay! And although she lost weight since being born, she's starting to put it back on. I think she gets that from her sister. Also, Ms. Layla is hip-click free!! What a relief!!! That means no brace to mess with AND Layla gets to wear all the cute clothes Lily couldn't wear because of the brace. 

And we can't forget about big sister!! Lily has done a really great job! She's sometimes a little more emotional and she started to really love the word mine. But that's to be expected. Mostly, though, she's kind and gentle. She gives hugs and kisses and wants to hold Layla. She brings toys and books and rocks her own little baby while I'm rocking her sister. For all the changes, Lily has done so great!! And we are so proud of her!!!

The weather today was great...perfect for some water time...and some family time. We have so many reasons to be thankful!! We really are #blessed.
