Yep. I'm seven years old and I make countdown chains. There's something extremely satisfying about ripping that little piece of paper off the chain at the end of the day. As you can see (well, kind of) there are only five links left on this chain which means in five days I will no longer be a gainfully employed human. Husband and I have decided that it makes more sense for me to stay at home with our tiny baby than to continue to work in an elementary school library. I like my job...most days. I get to chill out and read books to kids, talk to them about their favorite characters and learn a little about their lives. It's going to be weird to not have a job, to not have a routine or schedule but I am totally ready for this awesome adventure...especially because this is the week before Christmas break and the kids are cray cray. Five days left? Yeah. Sure. I can totally handle this...I think.
