How can I resist making this lovely Christmas tree a backdrop for every picture? I can't. Especially when the picture is taken on my very last SNOW DAY! With only two days left of school, I thought for sure it wouldn't happen. And the first snow of the year with a new district superintendent the week before Christmas? "No way," I told myself over and over again. And then, this morning at 5:41 I got the call. THE call. Blah blah blah...school cancelled...blah blah blah...inclement weather. I was already halfway through a happy dance before the automated lady finished her sentence. There is something so magical and amazing and fantastic about a snow day. It would be a great day to go back to bed and sleep in but I'm too excited! I'm so glad I get to have this feeling one last time. I forgive you, School District, for not getting me a going away present. You have outdone yourself.
